Name: Iori Minase
Age: 15
Canon: The Idolm@ster (anime)
Pull Point: End of series
Background Info:
History: Canon / Character
Personality: On the outside, Iori is quite the charming little lady. She is sweet and demure, and exudes the welcoming personality that the leader of an idol group should. She plays the part of the lovely leading lady well, supporting the other two members of Ryuuguu Komachi and doing her part to make sure that the group is a success, all the while being extremely cute in front of the camera and around anyone she does not know too well. She urges her fans to cheer them (and her) on, and is an absolute gem to have around.
Too bad the whole thing is a ruse.
In actuality, Iori is a spoiled brat, taking the role of the tsundere very seriously. She is extremely selfish, quick to anger, and loves to play pranks on other just to get a rise out of them. Don't try to do the same to her, however, because that won't go well. She is quick to anger when people don't do exactly what she wants of them, going so far as to punish them for their transgressions. She also has the nasty habit of talking back, even to authority figures (especially the producer, who she usually views as absolutely useless) with the exception of Ritsuko, if only because she fights back a lot harder than Iori ever could. She tends to take other people's flaws and throws them back in their faces when in a serious fight, but of course Iori-chan could do no wrong~
Well, that is mostly true. There is the matter of her father and her older brothers. Ah, family. An interesting situation with Iori. To say that she has a bit of a complex is not too much of an over-exaggeration. Both brothers are off doing good things, and the fact that her father is friends with the president of 765 Productions may be one of the reasons that she works with them in the first place is a bit of a sore spot for her. While she seems like she wants people to do things for her, Iori really does want something of her own, to be able to do something that she can be proud of, and step outside of the shadow of her father and older brothers.
Iori is also extremely observant, and, while she usually uses it for the forces of evil, is fairly empathetic to the people around her. While she has said that she cannot understand people less fortunate than she is, that could be the furthest from the truth. However, just because she can understand people's motivations does not mean that she always knows how to act around them. Iori is not the most in-touch with her feelings, and when she is unsure she tends to push away. Hard. Before becoming an idol, she was a fairly lonely person, but having friends in 765 has really helped her become a bit more social, and even if she doesn't seem like she likes someone, fighting with them and playing tricks on them are her way of showing that she really does care.
Game Specific:
Arcana: The Chariot
Justification: Iori is very much the kind of girl that not only knows what she wants, but will get it by any means necessary. Iori is also kind of like a duck in her poise. She appears to be gliding through life and fame effortlessly, yet she works hard for everything that she has, and will always work hard because she believes that it's never good enough. She has some extremely big shoes to fill, which gives her a bit of a complex in that regard. She is also the time that, if you try to kick her down, she jumps back even before you manage. She is just that tenacious. She wants to be adored and respected and that's all there is to it.

[Ring ring! Ring ring! You've got a video message! It's from the new girl in your class. What was her name again?]
This is Iori Minase. One of the new people here.
[Oh yeah. The stuck up one.]
So I get that we're all trapped here, and that something bad is happening. But seriously, isn't there anything to do here? This place is boring! There aren't even any good shops here! And these gift cards we got. How am I supposed to get anything with them when there's not even that much on there? What do they expect from us anyway?! At least if you're going to bring us here against our will and make us fight, you could make it worth it to us! Some kind of reward or something would be nice. I mean, more than these stupid cards.
Third Person Sample:
It had been a late night at her part time job. Cleaning up shop then a staff meeting after, Iori walked out of the building with a few of her coworkers. It had taken some doing, but she was getting used to the daily routine; school during the week and working on Saturday to help pay for the various odds and ends. Despite the monotonous day to day, she was starting to get used to it, starting to make friends. Pulling the cell phone from her bag, her thumb danced over the screen. "So what time did you want to come over and study?" She asked, still walking. She was met with silence. "Amy?" Looking up from her phone, Iori stopped, blood suddenly running cold.
Was this really happening? It couldn't possibly be real life. Iori was left staring, aghast by what she saw. A fog had rolled in, thicker than one that she had ever seen. The streets were eerily quiet, the occasional flickering streetlight the only sound, save for the blood rushing in her ears. A swash of red had been smeared on the wall behind her, covering the bit of graffiti that had once been there. She turned toward the building, not seeing her coworkers, but rather large, wooden coffins. Backing away slowly, the sound of her shoes on concrete almost as deafening as the beating of her heart, she started to move faster and faster until breaking into a run.
This isn't real. This is a dream. That's all there was to it. This isn't real. This is just a dream. That's all. Iori repeated that mantra in her head as she ran, hoping that she might be able to convince herself it was true.
